Norwegian Re-union. Part 1

I've talked with Lars many times, I guess, for more than a year for him to come to Prague during some weekend. It didn't happen in 2009, but in 2010 he told me that I just needed to decide with the dates. End of April was picked up as the weekend X for a small Norwegian re-union in Prague. Universe appeared to be an interesting thing which made two Norwegians come for the weekend instead one (smile). Camilla, one of my VPX (Vice-president Exchange) from Bergen and successor in AIESEC Norway, appeared to start her internship in Zurich in Lars's team as well.

Guys came on Thursday eve. I picked them up in the airport and took home for a dinner prepared by Yuliya. They were tired, so we didn't do anything special, just drank several beer on the kitchen and had a nice chat.

On Friday Yuliya and I went to work while Lars and Camilla explored Prague. Weather was incredibly great and guys had a really nice time which I could tell from their pictures (smile).

After work we picked them up and went for a walk to Vysehrad, then walked next to the river and stopped for couple of drinks in several places around Narodni Trida. Later we met Maarika and had our last beers at "U Medvidku" in the small pub area.

Saturday sightseeing started with a tram ride to Narodni Divadlo, walk to Ujezd and then up the Petrin hill as the queue to get into the funicular was enormous.

Walk uphill was not an easy thing but it gave us an opportunity to enjoy a magnificent view over Prague and of Petrin hills with hundreds of blooming trees. It was a perfect spring day and perfect mood to enjoy such a great city as Prague.

From the Petrin hill we walked further to reach Strachovsky klaster (monastery) complex with a view over the city, then walked to Prazsky hrad in front of which we took couple of "jumping" pictures and were even photographed by young Turkish ladies.

Then - St. Vitus cathedral and a walk to Letna park where we had a cold beer (perfect thing in such a weather) and enjoyed our time doing nothing but lying on the soft green grass...

After meeting Yuliya who had enjoyed her longer sleep and quiet time at home, we walked to Florenc where we watched for some time a whole group of old Volkswagen cars.

Then we bought 2 bottles of wine and decided to taste it on Strelecky Island and enjoy our perfect moments of perfect Saturday evening. We actually did, but were accompanied only by 1 bottle as second followed the physics laws and just exploded when I tried to open it with a stick (corkscrew was nowhere around us). Anyways at least 1 fulfilled its purpose (smile).

After having a beer on the first floor of "Ujezd" pub (nice place for a drink, btw) we went to Andel area to eat some Czech heavy food, including veprove koleno (pork knee).

We were tired but the day was not over yet, so before getting on the night tram 53 we strolled around Prague's old town area and stopped for another beer at an Aussie pub not far from Prasna brana (Powder gate) where we enjoyed live rock music. Was great!

Sunday was all about trip to Krivoklat though in the end when we got to Prague we had a really nice time of some pubbing in "Pivovarsky klub" at Krizikova.
