On Saturday I decided to get some exercise and joined some friends playing football at Strachov. It was really great to play intensively for more than 2 hours and was even nicer after the game to join my colleague from Germany, Sebastian, for a later lunch in "Little Hanoi" area, i.e. huge Vietnamese market which looks more like a little city with shops, restaurants, wedding agencies, hairdresser's, pharmacies and other necessary facilities (smile). Duck with soup, vegetables and big portion of rice noodles was incredibly tasty.
Bachelor's party at the Beer Festival
Afterwards I headed home to change and hurried to Letnany area where the beer festival was held. Shrek decided to have his small bachelor's party there as in a week the "Day X" was going to happen (smile). Actually it was not a real party as wasn't organized by his friends and didn't have any attributes of one, but in the end there were many people, colleagues and friends of Shrek, present, different local Czech beers were decently priced and tasted great and we all had a really good time, including Shrek.
After all the huge festival tents were closed, I found myself in the taxi to the city centre where someone had booked a karaoke place to continue the party. Someone was stupid enough to celebrate something with the champagne and I had one more beer there after lots of beer kinds had been already tasted at the festival. All of that made me feel the urge to sing and I ended up with my favourite "Bohemian Rhapsody"... I don't know how I sounded then but sure nobody cared really much and I really enjoyed it (smile).
Ended up home not really late. Was interesting to tell Shrek some stories on following Monday (smile).
"Splean"
When Yuliya and I saw that guys were coming to Prague, we immediately booked the tickets and bought them at the same day. I can frankly say that "Splean" was the band that formed my music taste when I was a teenager. I remember how I had bought their "Granatovyj" album and listened it over and over again on my old tape-recorded made on the "Orion" plant on which my Dad and Mom had worked. Especially, I remember the moment when I was listening it loud when our class in school was going to the Carpathian mountains. Good times, good times...
The concert was at "Očko" club at which entrance I first time saw the queue. I didn't like the club a lot as it had a small stage not lifted above the ground which didn't allow people standing in the back to see properly the artists. But everything in regards to "Splean" and their music was just great! Before going to the concert I'd downloaded several latest albums and discovered really great music. Most of those was played at the concert together with several songs from my favourite "Granatovyj". "Splean" sounds great live! Sasha does his best and the atmosphere of the songs easily penetrates everyone present in the room.
Had tons of positive emotions after the concert! Very and very recommended for all the fans and people who like good Russian rock. Another great weekend it was (smile)!
