First Weekend in May - Žinany.

For the first weekend in May Yuliya and I were invited to Žinany, a very small village where Michala's parents lived. But as they were on some trip till Sunday, we were happy to accept invitation and spend some nice relaxing hours in countryside.

We arrived to Mrač, village couple kilometres from Žinany, in the early afternoon and walked for 20 minutes before meeting Shrek and Michala. Just before that we found a field full of dandelions and Yuliya made a wreath which was a thing from the childhoods of all the girls in Ukraine. And Shrek looked pretty lovely in it (smile).

The rest of the time we spent making fire in the yard, grilling some food - sausages, zucchini, corn, chicken meat - enjoying a glass (or several) of wine, rum and coke and, of course had lots of nice chats.

1 more thing we enjoy watching that evening - was Michala's parents' cat Phillip who enjoyed his cleaning procedures too much and then his "girlfriend"(smile).

We stayed up till almost early morning finishing rum and coke and something else, I guess, combining it with more talks and watching "Soldier Švejk".

The next morning after some breakfast we took a walk around the village. Small photos ession took place next and on top of the big rolls of hay. Was fun (smile).

Also took some shots with Shrek, Michala and the village road sign (smile).

Then more hours were spent by doing pretty much nothing plus a bit of cleaning, sitting in the chairs facing the sun, playing cards, crawling and trying to take a photo of flowers. I guess I looked really funny during those moments.

Michala's parents and future Shrek's in-laws came around 4p.m. and in an hour they took us to the railway station in Čerčany. Weekend had been really great, filled with no intense action or heavy thinking. Being out of the city can be really refreshing! Actually it's always very refreshing and we're happy we had such a chance on the first weekend of May 2010 in a small 12-house village of Žinany, some 40 kms from Prague, Central Bohemia, Czech Republic.
